I made this for Christmas Day when I only had one of my sons and family here. I really enjoyed it and like how versatile it is. I used Panko bread crumbs so it stayed pretty crispy when I had left overs the next day. thank you!

Amazing! made nut roast yesterday for the 1st time and this recipe was amazing! Thank you I did use chilli flavour peanuts, parsley, stilton instead of cheddar (as it needed to be used), also included some finely chopped sprouts. It was so very easy and tasted great!

Hi Becca, you don’t mention what to do with, or when to introduce the Egg ! I am taking a guess and going to whip it up and mix into the potatoes. Will let you know how it comes out – I have also made a couple of tweaks. More later. Thanks for the inspiration – I have a folk memory from the 1980’s of eating Homity Pie in Cranks’ restaurant in Covent Garden, if my memory serves.

Amazing! Very easy and so so tasty :) One small change, I added an extra can of lentils (because yum). I also accidentally skipped one step in the oven, so I poured the bechamel on top immediately after mixing with tomatoes etc, oops :) it didn’t seem to matter that much as the veg was nice and tender and the sauce flavourful and creamy. Will defo make again!
