I came across this recipe a few weeks ago and have already made it twice! The only change I made was to halve the quantities (cooking for 2) and use an Oxo wine stock pot instead of using seperate stock cube and wine. I’m sure this dish will be making a regular appearance on our plates and I’ve made sure I stocked up with vegetable suet and chestnuts at my last big shop, so am all ready for next time :-)

Absolutely delicious! I recommend making the casserole part (I didn’t bother with the pastry but used potatoes instead) at least 24 hours in advance, as it was even more delicious the second time of asking!

your recepies looks delicious, I’m french, and I use to cook this ingredients (thym, garlic, mushrooms), so it will be easier.
