This one didn’t quite hit the spot this time! Felt like it was missing something… Maybe the sauce we used wasn’t rich enough – will try again with a richer sauce at some point!

Hi Shirley, I only ever use vegetarian cheese anyway as this is a vegetarian website :) Of course cheese isn’t great in huge quantities, but then neither is anything else – I think there’s nothing wrong with eating a nice cheesy dish like this as part of a balanced diet.

Concerned about all the cheese as I do love cheese, but known to clog our arteries…so may use vegetarian cheese I think …

I have never tried such dish. Gingerly I cooked it as per the instructions. It was very delicious. My Son loved it too much. Will cook again. Bookmarking this recipe.

Hmm that’s strange! Cheese should definitely crisp up if you bake it for long enough. In this recipe everything is already cooked so you’re really just baking it to get the cheese to melt and crisp up on top – so maybe just try turning the oven up a little or leaving it a bit longer?
