What can I use instead of Branston Pickle? It looks like its super thick veggie broth-ish with dates??

I have been meaning to comment on this post for months. This is delicious!!! Probably my favourite of all your recipes. So warm and comforting on a Winter evening after a long day at work! Thank you so much for posting, I never would have thought of using branston pickle in a recipe until this.

Does Branston smooth taste a bit like brown/HP sauce? I rather like the sound of this one….but maybe not until autumn now :-D
